UWOL 59 - Force of water, by Trond Saetre
As often before, the plans changes and changes again. And as plan a,b,c,d,... didn't work out due to ever changing weather, this video was shot during a weekend as the plan developed. Should have had some more various shots, but that didn't happen, so the video and story ended up a little shorter than planned.
Hope you enjoy watching, and feel free to comment or tear it apart as you wish. |

Hi Trond.
Congratulations on Uwol # 59. We have had the same approach to the topic, I think. And I see that you have also used a drone, which creates its own dynamics in the film. Nice landscape and nice flow in your film, the sound is good and the same with your VO. Have you made the recordings on the Hardangervidda? The music fits perfectly with your film, Trond. Thank you for sharing and thank you for arranging Uwol for us. |

Geir Inge,
Thank you for the comments. Yes, the location is western parts of the Hardangervidden. I really like using the drone. As you say, it gives lots of additional opportunities. |

Trond, great video. Your drone shots, like Geir's is quite impressive. I loved the way you intigrated water into the life of the country. Such beautiful scenery! The landscape there is not what I would have expected in Norway. I definitely need to make a trip there once this Covid is over. I also enjoyed your narration and music. When I looked at that huge rock balancing on that small rock you really have to marvel at the force and beauty of nature. Thank you for showing me your country.

Wow! Like Geir, I thought the landscapes were amazing. I really liked the mix of aerial and land shots to give different perspectives in such a short film.
I really liked the colors, too. There was a little hint of fall colors, but nothing over too overwhelmingly that, to me, might have taken away from my enjoyment of the vastness of the landscapes. Many scenes reminded me of the high Andes plains here. I love all the drone shots. There seemed to be a couple of "too-quick" movements, but nothing that took away from the beauty of your shots.
