UWOL 57 - The fun part of training by Geir Inge B. Brekke

I had a stroke in November last year and lost the ability to speak, as well as the ability to walk.
This video is about my daily workouts and the way back to a normal life again.
Today I have regained my Norwegian language and the ability to walk and I am partially back at work, two days a week.
As I still have a problem with the language, I have chosen to use google translate and therefore there is a female voice talking in the video.
Today I am doing just fine and the main goal is to be 100% back at work.
The rehabilitation process consists of hard work and self-training.
I walk a lot in rough terrain, and train a lot on a treadmill and exercise bike.
It is important to get up and off the couch and that's probably the heaviest part :)
Feel free to comment my video.

Looks like you had a pretty rough time of it. It also looks like you are making good progress. Good luck and God speed.

Very good to see you are recovering well from the stroke.
Nice film! Being active and out in the nature, is great for both soul and body, and you have a fantastic nature right at your doorstep.
Keep your head up and look forward!

Good progress. This video shows the great progress you have made and the future that holds for you. I bet you have never been fitter since your teenage days. Keep it up so you can keep up the videos.

Re: UWOL 57 - The fun part of training by Geir Inge B. Brekke

Thank you for your feedback.
Actually, everything was in place for me to have a stroke.
I have smoked tobacco for 35 years (quit 10 years ago) and I lived quite unhealthily.
In addition, inheritance is an important factor, as both my father and my grandmother suffered a stroke. Apart from my affordable mountain hikes, I have never done sports of any kind.
I should probably see it coming, especially when I work in health care.
Now I have changed my diet without compromising my health and maintaining my happiness.
I love cakes, so I allow myself to eat one or two pieces of cake, but not every day.
I weigh around 95 kg, which is quite a lot for a small guy of 1.77 :)
Now I am down to 83 kg and the goal is to get under 80 kg.
My other goals are as shown in the video to get me up on "Liadalsnipa" and maybe sign up for the race "Birkebeineren" (takes place in September if the pandemic allows it).
My physiotherapist and good colleague have promised to guide me to the top at Liadalsnipa.
My wife is not so happy about it as there are several parties that are quite airy.
But he who dares nothing, nothing wins I say :)
So the answer is a resounding YES,
I feel better than in a long time and look forward to life and the future.
And again thanks for you comments and feedback.
