Separate catagory within the challenge at DVinfo.net

Mulling over things! One of my main concerns has been and still is how to attract and keep new entrants, so I will throw this idea into the arena. What about as well as an overall winner there is a newcomers award. For example those eligible would not have not entered more than 3 rounds during the past year and only entered for the first time during the past year. Those entering for the first time could then enter up to three rounds before no longer qualifying as newcomer. They obviously would still be able to be overall winners as well. Maybe if that was the case the newcomer runner up would step up to winning newcomer.
