In memory of Mikael Ewald
Our good friend Mikael Ewald from Sweeden, passed away on 8th Desember 2013.
The 10th December was his birthday, but the cancer was too strong and he did not live to be 50 years. He joined Uwol as a first timer in Uwol#26 with his film, "The rise of the Caledonides". I think it is a great contribution in the true spirit of Uwol. Link to his feedback thread and video: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/uwol-cha...ael-ewald.html Our thoughts and prayers goes to his wife Anneli and family. Rest in piece Mikael, we will miss you. |

Re: In memory of Mikael Ewald
Cancer is a b*tch, my dad died from it this summer, I've still got plenty of videomaterial shot by him to go through in search of lost memories. It has thought me how valuable video can be as it helps remembering what people where like.

Thank you for letting us know, Geir Inge.
Our thoughts will be with his wife and family over this Christmas season. A sad loss to the UWOL community. |

Re: In memory of Mikael Ewald
I never had the opportunity to interact with Mikael but the family here at DVInfo is a strong one.
I feel like a distant cousin I never met has passed and I regret not having met him, virtually or otherwise. Wishing peace to his family and to his friends.

Re: In memory of Mikael Ewald
Condolences to the Ewald family. Yes, that is a nice film he made, I remember watching it when it first came out, and took another look yesterday, and will view it again. He said there's a message in it, and I think when you look at the natural world in such a broad perspective, especially the movement of continents, mountains rising and falling over great reaches of time there's a lot of ways to look at it in relation to mankind and our time here both personally and as a human family.
