UWOL 26 - The Winner!!
Much appreciation goes out to every person who submitted an entry this round! It's getting tougher and tougher to find time, so we are grateful to Cat Russell, Geir Inge B. Brekke, Mikael Ewald, Paul Wood, Steve Siegel, and Trond Saetre for their tenacity and great video storytelling. You are all winners!
One entry emerged as the top vote-getter, and it's a dandy. Using a series of trips to calculate his carbon footprint on the earth, he light-heartedly gave us all an idea of the impact we have in our various modes of transportation, while engaging us in the beauty of parts of North and Central America. Congratulations to the WINNER of UWOL 26: STEVE SIEGEL for Next Time Try the Train. Well done, Champion Steve!!! That's it for the regular challenge. This is wonderful! Thanks to everyone for your votes and confidence. I enjoyed watching all the entries, and as usual, learned new techniques and approaches from each one. UWOL rocks! Now let's get out there and show the world what we can do with "Around The World". Move over Nat Geo.

Congratulations, Steve! I added the *WINNER UWOL 26* title and the digital trophy to your video’s page. E-mail me if you would like a copy of the trophy for your own use. Let me know what file type and resolution you prefer. (Many have been asking for JPEGs or PNGs with transparent backgrounds.) This goes for any past winners (2nd place, 3rd place, runners up etc.) as well. Just e-mail me through DVInfo so I will see your real e-mail address and can add attachments (I still have yours, Steve).
I haven’t yet had an opportunity to watch any of the videos, but will do so and comment for all as I get the chance. |
