Hannah Vanderlan is a native Coloradan who has lived in California, Montana, Costa Rica, Spain, Oregon, Maine, and Pennsylvania and has traveled in over twenty countries. She is an avid athlete and outdoors enthusiast with a passion for visual storytelling. In 2009, she co-founded the award-winning film production company, The Film Dailies Productions. Their short documentary film "Sled," about a 15 year-old female dogsled racer in Steamboat Springs, CO, received the grand prize at the 2009 REI Spirit of the Outdoors Film Festival. Their work was also featured in the 2009 Adventure Film Festival. Hannah is currently producing a documentary exploring the effects of government budget cuts on citizens with mental illness and working on a feature film, currently in pre-production.

Hannah received a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Montana, where she focused on Latin American fiction and poetry. In 2007, she completed a graduate course of study at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
