UWOL Long form 2009 -the winner(s)!!
Hi All,
It seems like a long time since we all started out on this wonderful journey. And wanting to bring it to a satisfactory conclusion, (and put Meryem out of her misery/frustration in getting it judged) Marj, Steve and I have decided to accept the accolade of joint winners. Personally, I am honoured to have my film sat among such great pieces of work. But really, everyone who has completed a round in this challenge is a winner - it has taken a lot of commitment, energy and planning to make it work. I know we have ALL come out if it as better film-makers because of it!! So please raise a glass, doff your cap, and give a round of applause to: Marj , Steve and me ( ok that does sound wrong!) ;-) Cheers! Rob |

Well played, Rob, Marj and Steve! Congratulations to the winners and, once again, to all the finishers. It was truly a privilege to learn so much from each of you- as well as from all the players. Best wishes for the future lives of everyone’s videos. As for me, next time a UWOL Long Form Challenge comes along I think I shan’t hesitate to jump right in. I trust most of us feel the same. Good show(s)!

Yes, joint winners seemed like a really good idea. I'm thrilled to be part of this international troika.

Sounds perfect to me...my second judge bailed right before I left for my Grand Canyon trip...
Let's call it a perfect tie and move forward, there is nothing that I'd like more. |

Yes - all in agreement. Thanks for your efforts on our behalf behind the scenes Meryem.
Here’s to a great community of nature and wildlife filmmakers and to UWOL that offers us all the wonderful opportunity to learn from one another and practise our craft hands-on. Roll on UWOL 16! :) |

This is really great!!!
They were all spectacular and set a high standard for all to follow. Being they were all so different I can see where calling it a tie actually makes good sense. I loved them all and will go back and watch all three again today!! Dale Guthormsen
