No Video this Weekend
Thought I was going to finally get some video shot for the challenge this weekend.
My lovely wife decided to dust the ceiling today and fell off the kitchen cabinet. Nothing broken, but her knee looks like a blue grapefruit. She's been taking care of me and my bad back, so I guess it's my turn to be the nurse.

I Hate Fog
Went out the last two weekends to get some shots for the competition. My video features four distinct segments.
The first weekend was GREAT! I was happy with with my clips and had a really nice day on Saturday (although I was tired, after a 12 mile hike). I got everything I needed for my middle two segments. This last weekend... Not so good. It has been quite foggy in the morning and evening. And of course, that's when I need to shoot. I luckily managed to catch a brief break in the fog for my morning "footage." However, the evenings have been horrible. I think I may need to change my story flow at bit. Oh well. At least it has been fun. So far... Rich |

I think I can sum up my woe in one sentence...
So, I should probably come up with a concept soon.

Good afternoon,
first, Chris Sorry to hear you health issues!! Hope you heal quickly!! even if the patch does make you look more dashing and mysterious. Looks like the Tank for Dale for the first time in the last 14 goes!!!! Been dog busy, but really just failing to find an adequate topic that I could do justice to and try to hit a little higher level than I have in the past. Makes me wonder if I have a creative bone in my body.

Dale, the shark tank is not ready for you!
Still a couple more days to come up with something. Not happy with what I have got either, but at least it's something. Got a good idea (I think), but I still miss some of the most important shots. Good luck to all of us. And remember to follow Rule 11!! :) |

Hang in there Dale! Still some time to put something together!
Maybe some of us here can help you brainstorm something. |

Been way too busy, to do any editing for the challenge yet. But there are some days until deadline!
In fact I have to finish up before sunday, as I have to prepare my gear sunday for a job next week in the mountains. Tonight I will hopefully be able to sit down and figure out some narrating for my final editing. Think this is one of the hardest part of making the film, to figure out a story, draft the narrating and pick the right pieces together to a final masterpiece! But I believe I have a nice idea.

It's a wrap!
Well, not exactly. Editing and narrating is done, but still need to find some music to match the video. Even managed to come up with a good (I hope) story today. Better late than never. And if I know myself right, I'll probably find a couple things to change later too, as usual. :) Should have had a couple more various shots to make it better. Rule nr11 has been strictly followed at all times! :) |

Jammin to Rammstein's Du Hast at ear bleed levels trying to get this new film knocked out.
Not sure why listening to heavy metal music makes for good editing. :) |

Rammstein? How can you be editing to Rammstein and have your videos turn out to be such rose-sniffin love poems to the beauty and wonder of the planet?

Weird isn't it?
I turn Rammstein up till the house is about to fall down and I come up with some nice fluffy piece. I guess the music takes all the aggression away and that's all that's left is fluff.:) I actually have a UWOL Editing playlist on iTunes Start's off with Rammstein's Du Hast, Links 234, Ich Will, Engle, Sonne, Du Riechst So Gut and Heirate Mich for starters. Then I get into some industrial Goth Rock like The Last Dance. |

Kevin,
You are over the edge. However you and Trond inspired me to put something together, I am working at rendering it down to 60 mb as I write this. I keep getting stuck at 65 mg bytes!!! Should get it posted tonight with a little luck!!

Dale,
Good to hear you have made a video this round too. We need your entries. I almost didn't make it this round. Sorenson Squeeze and I had a major disagreement today. It kept shutting down on me when it hit around 60-85% encoding/compressing. Happend more than 30 times before I finally gave up. Not even a reinstall helped, and no settings were changed since last time. So I ended up encoding with Premiere Pro instead. Needless to say, the audio quality took a major hit. But at least I got to upload something. Have less than an hour to deadline when I get back from work tonight, so I'll give Squeeze one last chance to cooperate. If that doesn't work... image quality is fine, but the audio, well that's something not to be proud of, with my entry. :) |
