Wow! Thanks for all your comments, It's always nice to get feedback. The audio levels were a bit mismatched and several friends and family said the same thing.
Trond, Indeed the pull focus onto the web should have lingered a little longer. I actually sped the shot up when I was trying to cut the piece down to 3 mins. On reflection maybe I should have left it out. I think I tried to cram too much in. The other shot you mentioned was supposed to be focused on the grass, it was a late edit to try and smooth two sections together. Again perhaps too short and/or unnecessary. Dale, I just used the standard mic that came with the camera (I have a Sony Z7) It is a Sony ECM-XM1 and is supposedly a little better than their previous ECM mics that came with the PD170's and Z1's. I was about 10-15m away. Bad mistake with the misidentification. A lesson learnt there! There were two herons in the area and I stupidly I assumed that was one of them. Never saw the cormorant in any other light. As for the Stonechat, well that was just poor skills on my part. Will do better next time. Thanks for watching. |
