Please Welcome Our Judge for UWOL #9....

Our judge for this round is a kindred UWOL spirit and is especially qualified to serve as our judge for thise theme. He is a true WILDLIFE kind of guy.

- He worked as the story producer and post-production director for the Animal Planet series "Orangutan Island.

- He has also worked in the BBC Natural History Unit and as an offline editor for Animal Planet's "The Most Extreme"

- He has a post-grad degree in Natural History Filmmaking from the University of Otago, New Zealand

- And he is currently working a *top secret* script project which will involve some of the planet's best wildlife and nature shooters.

Please give the usual warm UWOL welcome to our UWOL #9 judge, BRANT BACKLUND....

And my welcome to you also, Brant. The episodes of Orangutan Island I got to watch were some of the most fascinating portrayals of wildlife with personalities I have seen.

I enjoyed them thoroughly.

Welcome Brant!
As being the former judge (for round 8) and now a participant I feel a pressure built up. And with all this great short wildlifefilms you're going to watch, it's not gonna be easy for you to decide!

Good luck and welcome to this community

BTW, have to take a look at the Orangutan Island which I haven't seen yet!
