Quick Note on UWOL #5
just finished watching the films, and since i can't comment directly on the quality of individual pieces since i'm involved in the judging, i just wanted to give you group feedback on this amazing round. it was our lowest turn-out, numbers-wise, but the quality of the films was amazing.
tonight i went all over the world, from south africa to australia. (i think i spent a very long time in norway, heh!) and watched roos, meerkats, caribou, elk, deer, polar bears, musk ox, pika sheep, deer, goats, dogs, alpacas, polar bears, foxes, horses, leopards...did i miss anything? oh, yeah prairie dogs and buffalo.... you guys and the amazing effort you put into producing your entries make this such a unique and beautiful and fascinating event. thank you all. |

Hey Meryem:
Oh! So that's why we haven't heard your words of wisdom and humor this round! Always looking forward to your insights on these films but, okay... if you have to judge, you have to judge! I was beginning to think that perhaps a prairie dog had got your tongue! ;). Cat |

Thank YOU Meryem for your brain child ! I have learned so much from the UWOL community and in the making of my films. We should of called the Meryems Outdoor Film Making Academy....MOFMA, hhmmmm on second thoughts maybe were better with UWOL ! ;-)
Well done folks....great round ! |

MOFMA...that's hideous!
it's odd, i do usually chime in on these threads a bit more, but since i put up a bona fide (though non-competitive) entry instead of a play-along entry, i feel more reserved about commenting...because i feel more invested in the topic than in past entries. i guess i'm trying not to bias myself.... |
