Don't blame me, I only shot this clip; it was Per Johan showed me how to compress and post it here ... it might be useful to know from viewers:-

Brendan and others: It seem to be something wrong with uploading mov-files to this forum. I have tried this before and now Brendan have uploaded a mov-files which not allow us to view.
Maybe some of the moderators can help us out? Chris Hurd, are you reading this? The wmv-file of the Griffon seem to me very nice?

VLC Media Player!
I was able to download these, then play them using VLC Media Player. This is a free program I believe and it has saved my butt many times. It was also the only way I could view XL2 Features Tour video.
Beautiful footage and beautiful bird! Mike P.S.: Here is the link to the free player---------http://www.videolan.org/

Ok Mike, but if you click on the link the mov-file won't play direct in the browser, only if you download it first!
I think this is a kind of a bug somewhere, isn't it?

I can tell you that when I click your links directly from my browser, windows opens trys to open them as a picture file and not a movie file. Sorry I can't help more. Mike

Just tried your links in Firefox, and in Explorer, and both of them opened the file and played while downloading.

Hello all (2 of you)
I'm the one with no problem viewing the links on DvInfo this time. Being a pc user I have to Save Target As when I use the mac link. Otherwise the links work OK, for me! If there are more complaints I would consider reposting them again, or would Chris take a dim view? |

Download sample
Ok, I have no complaints about your footage Brendan!
I have put Brendan's mov-file online at my server: http://www.video-film.no/snutter/brendan.html If you click on the file: Griffon_Vulture_1.mov it will start to play inside your browser, without downloading it first. My point is that the same should be the case at the DvInfo site, right? Why is that not the case on this forum?

For what it's worth, I got the footage on the first link: as Mike said, beautiful footage and beautiful bird, especially as it goes in and out and back in again against the crennated wall.

Thank you for your observations Mike, Per and Sandy.
