Cape San Blas
Here is a small project (39 MB) that I put together for fun while on vacation at Cape San Blas, Florida. It was shot with a DVC30. Music is by Bjorn Lynne via Sopersound.
I hope you enjoy it. http://natureflixs.com/movie4.html

Very pleasant late night viewing, Mark. Lovely study of nature by the shore.
I'll try it with sound tomorrow. |

Very nice Mark, I like your style of shooting and editing. Your choice of music supported the footage in a pleasant way. Thanks for sharing!

On 3rd viewing, 1st with sound, the synthesised surging effect during the soundtrack became distracting, probably because it was time-related rather than content-related (e.g. quiet hush would have been more appropriate when the sandpiper appeared in mid-stride); indeed I would have enjoyed the unaccompanied sound of the ebb & flow of the tide much of the time ...
... but the filming and editing was very lovely ... there was an overall effect that you let the birds tell you where and how THEY would like to pose ... the heron was clearly saying in the close-up "this IS my better side" and went flap-about to say "I told you so"; the variety created by the flock of terns; the harshness revealed by bleached tree trunks; the final bow of cormorants perched on breakwater stumps ... lovely stuff ... thank you ... and let there be more. I'm still trying to figure out how much to offer to persuade Per to send me a copy of the technology he uses to design/run his website ... any suggestions? |

Here is another beach I visited last week. It was shot at St. George Island off Applachicola, Florida. Hope you enjoy it.
