Spring at Myakka River State Park, Florida - Director's Cut
This is an extended version of a video I uploaded last year. The pace of the editing in this version is slower and graphics have been added to identify the wildlife. The video (without the camera information superimposed in the corner) will be used at a local nature center in Florida as part of their educational program.
Shot with my Sony PXW-Z280 camcorder in 4K XAVC-I @ 29.97 Sachtler FSB-10 and Flowtech 100 tripod system Graded in DaVinci Resolve Highlights video edited in Adobe Premiere

Re: Spring at Myakka River State Park, Florida - Director's Cut
Doug, wonderful video. Watching this on a cold Atlanta morning makes me want to get in my car and drive down. Beautiful color and music. I'll bet it took a lot of trips to the park to get all these great shots. I had to get out of the house so a few weeks ago I drove up to the Pee Dee NWR in NC, although I was a little early for a lot of birds it was just great to get out and shoot some video. Thanks to your great course on stock footage I'm still uploading clips to Shutter stock and Pond5. Take care, stay safe and I let you know next time I'm at Merritt Island. Bob

Re: Spring at Myakka River State Park, Florida - Director's Cut
Thanks for the compliments, Bob. I actually shot this video in one weekend while I was staying at the campground in the park. I got lucky finding so much wildlife concentrated in a very small area.
Not much going on in my area right now. Last time I checked, Merritt Island is dead. I'm amazed how few birds there are and I haven't seen a gator in weeks. It was a very wet summer and I wonder if that has made a difference. I have a meeting this afternoon with the executive director of a nationally known birding festival who has reached out for help doing a virtual festival this year due to Covid, and I'm going to ask her what is up with the birds. Where are they?

Doug, that is an impressive amount of wildlife for just two days at a state park. I always enjoy watching your videos. Bob
