Hummingbirds in 4K UHD
It has been a little over a year since my last post featuring hummingbirds filmed with a GH3. Since then I have acquired a GH4 and have done some work filming hummingbirds in 4K. The lens I used was my older Sigma 400mm f5.6 APO Macro, and I'm rather happy with the results. Here are 2 of my 4K uploads to Vimeo. You might want to go to the Vimeo site for better resolution, since DVInfo doesn't display them in HD.

Re: Hummingbirds in 4K UHD
That's better! Made me plug in me 4K monitor.
I've seen and vidded a fair few Hummers in Brazil but a problem there was getting them on natural perches rather than red plastic feeders. GH4 slo-mo handy in my experience for feeding birds though never managed this on flowers rather than feeders. Not much point to slo-mo if the subject isn't in motion IMHO. Ron |
