Spring 2013
Finally, it's Spring. What a great time to get out and film. I Filmed this short video near my home in Sitka Alaska. I really love the Panasonic GH2. Light weight, and easy to use. Standard firmware 1080p.
Enjoy, |

Re: Spring 2013
Certainly nice footage from the GH2, I really enjoyed watching your short and it made me want to visit Sitka. You have some wonderful scenery there and I enjoyed particularly the shots of the goldeneye and the sequence of them all taking off at once at the end.
On the technical side, there were a couple of shots in which the tripod didn't seemed levelled, and thus the horizon was sloping somewhat. These came at around the 2.00 and 7.00 minute marks. Also the upward tilt shot of the eagle - it cut off just before the head was shown, which I found a little jarring. I really wanted to see it's face! Keep up the good work. Neil |

Re: Spring 2013
Thanks!
I purposely left the eagles head cut short to try something different. Your right, it didn't work. I'm not a very good video editor anyway. I'm using a very old Manfrotto Tripod. The lower section is rusted out, and it's difficult to level on rocky uneven ground. I pretty much eye ball, guess, and shoot. Our cold saltwater environment is murder on equipment. Most tripods only last a year or two. I always wanted to get a graphite one, but could never afford one. |
