My Adventure in Fiji
Can't get involved in the competition I'm afraid, but thought I'd share this video I shot on the GoPro Hero Cam back in January.
All the news of GoPro buying Cineform reminded me of it and in trying to decide where to post it, I figured "Under Water Over Land" was probably the most suitable forum. YouTube - My Adventure in Fiji Would love to hear advice about how to avoid the effects of the rolling shutter. |

Re: My Adventure in Fiji
Hi John - I moved your post over to the regular "Under Water, Over Land" forum - the Challenge forum is primarily used for the contest and posts related to the contest.
Your request for feedback will reach a broader audience in this forum. Looks as if you had a great time in Fiji with your GoPro - nice footy... |

Re: My Adventure in Fiji
Nice work John. It's amazing how good the GoPro footage looks. I'm not sure there's very much you can do to avoid the rolling shutter effect unless you avoid a lot of motion, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of the GoPro. GoPro footage is in wide use now, and I am getting used to seeing bent propellers on airplanes!
The underwater images are a little soft. The camera doesn't focus very well underwater. This company sells a fix for that issue: GoPro Hero camera-underwater focus fix Pat |
