A Hawk, Flies and Ants

Yesterday evening, I stepped out the front door and saw a hawk on the ground obviously feeding. I went back in to get my HDR-HC1 and shot the following:

It's a bit shaky in places but when the hawk has finished its meal, you can hear its wings and see the prey's feathers get blown around.

Within a minute, I was at the location and was amazed to see the flies and ants already dealing with the leftovers.

I'm very impressed with the HC1's macro performance.
