hows my shutter speed?
take a look at this footage http://www.vimeo.com/679247
i think the waves are giving the effect of too high a shutter speed with the stuttering effect but i can also see motion blur an the rider as he changes direction have i got it too high or too low or does my problem lie else where? |

Kevin,
I would definitely say you have your shutter speed set to high. At this point you could slow motion it and make it look better. If you want things to look more like our eyes perceive them you will need to shoot at 1/60th to 1/120th of a second. It really depends on what you want. If you are wanting to grab stills then a faster shutter speed is more appropriate. Anyway, just a couple thoughts.
