Bogen 3221wn/3433 head
Edwin.
The 3433 head, (which is the 501), can handle a maximum load of 13.2 pounds. The 3221wn TP, has a center rising post. It is called the Wilderness Tripod, in the Bogen catalog. While it will handle your video cam, it really is a made for still photography. This is the lowest end of Bogen's TP's, that I would use for video. It's a judgement call that your needs, and wallet, must decide upon. Hope that this note is of help.

Re: Bogen 3221wn/3433 head
thanks for the tip robert. i'm getting the kit (3221WN + 3433 head) for $150, which i'm thinking is a pretty good deal. as far as my judgement goes, after plunking down the money for my xl1s, my wallet's definitely making the calls, for now.
thanks again. <<<-- Originally posted by Robert J. Wolff : Edwin. The 3433 head, (which is the 501), can handle a maximum load of 13.2 pounds. The 3221wn TP, has a center rising post.
