Head Adapter Q.
Hello all,
I'm in the process of buying a Premier Studio Equipment PD-1 dolly, and with it I'm ordering a 100mm ball adapter - I plan on buying a new head with a 100mm base in the future, however, right now I have a head with a good ol' 3/8" screw mount. My question is, where can I find an adapter to go from the 100mm ball to the 3/8" mount? I've dug around google and B&H but can't seem to find anything. Thanks in advance! Dave B. |

I'm not sure I understand. Doesn't the 100mm ball adapter already have a 3/8-16 bolt already in it? Tripod heads are usually tapped for a 3/8-16 bolt, so you should be able to simply thread the head onto the 100mm ball adapter, cinch down the lock screws inside the ball adapter (to prevent the head from coming loose while panning) and you're done.

Sorry, I don't think I was quite clear; what I mean is that the adapter is for the dolly to accept heads with a 100mm ball mount, and my head is mounted via the 3/8" screw. I need an intermediary to go inside the ball mount to mount my head on top of.
Thanks!
