How is this leg/head combo?

Bogen / Manfrotto 3445 CF TRIPOD w/3460 (503) HEAD KIT.

Is this a good set of legs? I am coming from a Gitzo 1228 photo pod and want something similar and light. What makes this a video setup compared to the same head on my Gitzo legs?

What makes it a video setup is that the 3445 has a 75mm half bowl mount for a ball leveling head. Ball leveling is not a necessity for video but it sure makes life a lot more pleasant. I would recommend using your current pod with the 503 head and if you find that you want ball leveling, you can always get the Bogen ball leveling adaptor for around $75 to put between the 503 and the 1228 legs and you will be set for leveling.
