Manfrotto 504X

I have Manfrotto 535 tripod legs with a 503HDV head, attached via a 75mm half ball. Can I replace the head with a 504X head by using the 75mm half ball?

Dear Victor Wilcox,
Yes you can. Loosen the 3 set screws on the bottom of the half ball, then remove the old head. Then screw the new head on and tighten the 3 set screws.
