Manfrotto 524CFi conversion
Hi,
Need help from you "techies" out there. I have a Manfrotto 524CFi arm, made for Fujinon and Canon lenses, and I would like to convert it to LANC (it has the bigger Fujinon/Canon plug on it). Is this possible by just changing the plug - and if so - does anyone have a pinout of the cables - ie. which wire to solder where on the LANC plug? Anybody "been there - done that"? Thanks in advance /peter |

Re: Manfrotto 524CFi conversion
Peter, I'm not a technician that has all the answers but it's my opinion that, NO you can't simply change the plug from an 8 pin for a pro type lens to a LANC control.
I would recommend that you sell the one you have and buy a LANC control.

Re: Manfrotto 524CFi conversion
You are probably right - I have searched a Little, and I think it involves different coding besides the plug change. Thanks anyway for your reply. Sell and re-buy seems to be the way out :-)
