Sachtler Ace - Affordable (650$) true fluid (non-friction) head!
Hello people from DVi, hope everything is fine.
Yesterday I ran into this announcement both from Bloom's blog and on C5D. A true fluid, not friction BS, head and stick for the price of a 503HDV kit is pretty cool. I was also unware that Sachtler had released the Cine DSLR head. So in the affordable but good range we have the Ace, the Cine DSLR and the Vinten Blue. But the low price of the Ace coupled with the great quality is very nice for those of us that pay heavier import taxes. |

There's a thread of sorts here, Pietro:
http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/tripod-s...-sachtler.html It wasn't named that well because I didn't know what the system was called at the time! Interesting-looking tripod, though the legs do seem to have some issues (look at Philip Bloom's review). At the price point (and weight point) they seem to be very hard to beat! |

Thank you Mike, I searched for Ace and found nothing.
You can close this one. :) |

Just got an email this is now in stock at B&H. Very tempted to be an early adopter here.
