Manfrotto 519 question
I have just purchased a 519 fluid head for use with my XL2 camera. It did not com with any documentation so my question is this.
The 519 claims to come with 2 springs for different weight cameras. As these were not in the package I assume the are both already fitted inside. Can someone confirm this or should I be chasing my supplier for them? |

Did you try flipping all the levers and turning all the knobs? I don't think it's a replace option, just a flip. I am still unimpressed with the pan-tension adjustments on my new 503. My $79 Velbon had a better range of adjustment.

My 519 DID come with two springs, a blue one and a yellow one. Only one spring can be fitted at a time. And it came with proper documentation. I suggest you return the head and ask for a replacement that includes both springs and the manual.
Bob, it is not just a matter of flipping a lever, you actually have to replace the spring. However, you don't need any special tools to do that.
