Comments on my purchase
I just purchased a Miller 20 Series II with Carbon Fiber legs for $495 (and selling my trusty Manfrotto 503 on Ebay - photo #1).
I have attached photos and would like your comments on my purchase and if you think the Miller is a better tripod. |

miller is a true fluid head, the manfrotto is not. If both heads were new, the miller would be clearly superior... assuming your camera is in its target weight range. I believe the series II has a counterbalance spring for a larger camera, so if you are shooting with something light, you might be fighting it.
The miller is an older model, so the question is how abused the head is and how everything has held up. If the miller requires maintenance, the cost of that is subtracted from the "deal" category. On the other hand, if the miller is operating perfectly, then you got a nice tripod at a good price. Frankly, i'm not sure what you hope to get out of comments. I mean, the only person that matters is you. What do YOU think of your tripod deal? Who cares what i think. cheers -a |

Miller is a brand of tripod I knew was better the Manfrotto, and I respect comments from my fellow videographers. It has been in storage for the last 8 years and shows little use. Has anyone any feedback on the Carbon Fiber Legs?
