Can you do pans with a ballhead?
Hello,
I own the SILK 700dx tripod system. It is not bad but the head is not very good for pans. I seem to be able to upgrade to a Slik SBH-550 Professional Ball Head. But I have never used a ball head before. Can you do normal pans with a ball head? Here is a link to the head: Slik SBH-550 Professional Ball Head: Berger Brothers I need the tripod for a video camera (hmc-150) so pans are important. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Simon |

You want a "fluid head" for video use. Ball heads are for stationary shots.
