Best tripod for PD170

Hi everyone,

Which tripod would you suggest as excellent for PD170.

I need extremely smooth head movement and light weight legs with as much stability as possible (like who doesn't want that). I've used the small Sachtler (DV2?) and found the drag not smooth enough. I've been told I have a very critical eye.

I'm thinking of carbon fiber but if aluminum is light enough then that might work and cost less also.

You are right in the best place to find what you want. A short trip to B&H ought to allow you to get your hands on a lot of good tripod kits for direct testing.

I tend to like Miller but there are, so I'm told, better brands.
