Giotto vs. Benbo
Anyone with experience with the Giooto or Benbo tripods? I like the idea of being able to mount the center post so the camera can point down, I'm also looking for carbon fiber.
Mostly for a GL2 with 1.7x tele on front but also for a Canon D300 still. Thanks.

The Giotto is at
www.hpmarketingcorp.com/giottos_tripods.html I first saw it advertised in Outdoor Photography so it is designed for still cameras but I figure I can always put a video head on it. I'm looking at the carbon fiber version. The Benbo looks similar and I saw it in a B&H catalog. Jeff

From what I heard most people seem to stay away from still
tripods for video work. Even if you could put a video head on the things, would it work as well? Looks like not a lot of people have knowledge about the brands due to the lack of responses...
