728B or 718B?
Thanks for all your helpful comments!
I'm excited to report I've just ordered a Bogen Manfrotto 728B from B & H: http://www.bogenphoto.com/product_te...68&itemid=2158 This seems to perfectly fit my need for a lightweight tripod for my ZR65. I originally considered purchasing the 718B because of its lighter weight: http://www.bogenphoto.com/product_te...68&itemid=2526 But the B & H salesman said the 728B offered a smoother and better range of panning. Is anyone familiar with either model? I hope I made the right choice! Disappointingly, neither the 728B nor the 718B have a bubble level that are ever-present on cheaper, plastic models. Dorothy |

I would agree with the B&H salesperson. Smooth pans is a major issue with tripods and the 728 is the better choice. It is a good choice as a compromise and hopefully it won't break the budget.
