what is a good tripod?
What is a good tripod for my professional Panasonic PV-DV953 camcorder? I am considering one that is small and easy to carry with me. Do tripods come with cases? I read Bogan makes some good ones. I do not want to spend a lot of money. How much does a good one cost? I don't have time to go to stores and look at them. I don't know which ones are good. Have a great day everyone and thank you for all your help.

It is usually a good idea to give people a cash-wise starting point on a tripod. Also, what are you planning to do with your camcorder?
Good, decent, reasonably priced tripods are available from Libec. Libec is available from DVinfo sponsors.

I have no experience with Libec; I've never seen them in Vancouver. However, I keep hearing that they are good starter tripods. I do like the Manfrotto 055Pro with the Manfrotto 128RC video head. The cost is about $350 Canadian. Perhaps check with B&H for their price on the Manfrotto or a Libec, since that is where you bought your cam---good place to buy.
