Question about best tripod for my setup?
Hello All I am in need of some help. I am the owner of A Jvc Gy-Hd200 camcorder, mini35c, lenses, marshall 7" monitor with v mount batter, anton bauer 160wh batteries, dr-hd100 100 gb hard drive, chrosziel follow focus and chrosziel mattebox. I am looking to upgrade my tripod package. My setup weighs over 40 pounds and I m looking for a tripod that can support the load and is very smooth. I do not want to spend over $4,000 and have been looking on ebay. So far im torn between the vinten vision 100 or the cartoni c40 which is a little higher than the vision 100. Anybody have any suggestions or comments or past experience with a tripod with heavy setup? Please give me all the advice and opinions you have. Thanks!

Hi Matt......
Still on sale @ B&H inside your budget (well, the sticks, anyway).
Run, don't walk. You cannot afford to miss out on one of these. http://www.dvinfo.net/articles/camsupport/fibertec1.php For a suitable head I'd recommend a Vision 8 or similar. Guess that's gonna bend the budget tho'. CS |
