Reiss , Gitzo legs?
Hello Everyone,
I currently own Reiss legs and Gitzo legs that I use with my camera gear. Will these legs work for the Video Cameras? May be a stupid question but I really do not know. The Reiss can handle a lot of weight A100 legs, and the Gitzo is a 1410 that can also handle weight. I also realize that I am going to need a head and from what I have read a fluid one. The camera I will be using is the XH-A1 and the HV20. I just wanted to know if my existing legs would work with a different head on it. Also would my Ball head work? I also have a 3 tilt pan head that I never used, would that work for video? I just hate buying more legs but if I need to I will. Thanks, Kevin |

Yes, you can (and it's Ries). Video tripods have two major differences:

I have the Gitzo 1410 leg, extremely sturdy, heavy duty. You can buy the Gitzo 1380 head which is good from 2lbs to 22 lbs, depends which supplied spring you insert. Very smooth head, highly recommended. (Kind of same as Vinten Vision 3)
