Sad to hear that Joel Siegel passed away today.

Along with Roger Ebert, Gene Siskel and Gene Shalit.. Joel is one of the people that I will always associate with the film going experience. I trust his opinion.

He will be missed.

I got to work with Joel for an interview with the rude and insufferable Val Kilmer who walked in, sat down and lit up a cigarette without asking anyone if they objected. Joel, a cancer victim, didn't chastise him, didn't object, let him finish his nicotine injection and did his usual smooth interview. What a pro.
