Making a Slideshow?

Hi there,
I recently acquired a gig for making a slideshow for someone. Its not paying much of anything, but its also my first.

My question is: Is there any programs that specialize in slideshow-making out there? I was hoping I could either get one for free or try the demo of one and use it for the small project.

I am working on a mac, but if needed, I can use a PC.
There will be 'about' two thousand pictures to go thru (8 disk).

If I can't find anything, then I will use Imovie.

Any thoughts on this is appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
~Gabriel

I think iMovie would work great. I believe there's also a program called Motion Pictures HD that comes bundled with Toast Titanium that does slideshows, but I haven't used it.

Thanks Chris!

I have just had some, "dislike," for imove the last couple of days.. But I guess what works is what I should use, huh?

That sounds like an interesting program, thanks for mentioning it!
For $40 though, I think I'll hold out.. Thats almost as much as I'll be getting paid, lol!

Thanks for the suggestions Chris.
