Filming in stadiums
From the Detroit Free Press:
UNDERCOVER FAN: Hottie-cam invasion Palace Vision isn't shy on broadcasting ladies who are easy on the eyes May 8, 2003 More in link: http://www.freep.com/sports/pistons/fan8_20030508.htm The show began harmlessly, and loaded with patriotism. The opening shots showed a singer, named Deena, belting out "The Star Spangled Banner." A half-hour later, there would be dancing fans and navel shots and camera-friendly hotties. But it was still pregame at the Palace. Family time. Time when anticipation of the opening tip was enough to keep the crowd interested and buzzing. So the in-house Palace Vision cameras cut from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Pistons to the singer to the American flag. Tastefully fading from one to the next. Then the lights came on. The crowd at the Palace shook. The referee tossed the jump ball. Enough entertainment. Now for basketball. For years, in-house video production crews have fed crowd images back to the crowd through giant screens dangling from the ceilings of professional sports arenas. Call it entertainment augmentation. They have the dance shot. The smooch shot. The wholesomely attractive girl-next-door shot. The decidedly unabashed, overweight, gut-bouncing shot. It's a gas. And it's a narrow line between family values and sex appeal. It's like the beer commercial depicting two busty women wrestling in mud before cutting to a couple of "sensitive-looking" guys and their disapproving girlfriends. Turns out the guys are imagining the wrestling scene. But the sex appeal is real, just like the blonde in the cut-off tank top who danced on Palace Vision at least four times during Tuesday night's game. Every time, the crowd went crazy. Hey, we live in a Hooters culture. But wait, doesn't Hooters have great chicken wings?

Rob, next time you're in Cocoa Beach Fl, you'll have to go to Frankies and order the "911" wings. A memorable experience to be sure!!!
