Need a Want a program that indexes all my DVD's and such
So I have a dream - a dream of having all my back up disks indexed. You put a disk into your drive, the program opens it up - you give the disk a name, and it finds all the files, and adds them to it's index. Then when you want to find a file, you search for a name - it sorts by name, file type, date, whatever, and shows you which disk that file or files are located on. Kind of a dewey digital system. In fact it could be called that.
Does anybody know of a program out there that does that? or anything close to that? Thanks for your help - this would be soooooo wonderful. Milt Lee |

Not knowing if you're Mac or PC or Linux, or whatver...
Just go to www.versiontracker.com Pick your OS and search under a term like "catalog" or "disk index" or something similar. You should find a bunch of utilities that do this. |
