Which editor?
this might be slightly off topic but it is TOTEM so if fact i shouldnt be off topic anyway. reight never mind that.
So the question that i have for you people is! what makes a good editor and who is your favourite editor? Also do many people have one? everyone seems to have a favourite director but ive never heard anything about editors! Thanks :-)

My knee-jerk answer would be Todd Ramsay. He edited John Capenter's THE THING and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. He also edited EXORCIST III (a very underated/never seen movie) and STAR TREK: TMP (also very underated I think).
The second name that came to mind immediately was Verna Fields - she did JAWS and the SUGARLAND EXPRESS for the master. But perhaps the very best would be George Lucas. He (largely) edited a movie called STAR WARS (along with his wife at the time, Marcia Lucas). john evilgeniusentertainment.com |
