Andrea Bocelli's new concert DVD NOT de-interlaced
I mean, come on... it's shot in 1080i HD and it's NOT de-interlaced!!! I can clearly see the interlacing. At least de-interlace the picture!!!
Sorry, I freaked out when I saw the interlacing... bare with me.... |

Jack,
What do you think the "i" in 1080i stands for? Joe

I'm complaining about when they converted 1080i to the 480p of DVD. They didn't de-interlace properly.

Sorry for bumping this thread up but it seems that the DVD was encoded with the Upper field first or something so certain DVD players couldn't display an interlaced stream but a non de-interlaced progressive stream. One DVD player it played as a non de-interlaced progressive stream and on my PlayStation 2 it ran in native interlaced by swapping the field order.
