how do I make my own WMV
I use Windows 2000 Pro, and have both a CD/DVD ROM and CD/DVD-R. I curently have WMP version 9.0.0... and would like to make a WMV from either my Digital Video camcorder (or from a DVD I made) in order to share it with family online. I have the component package for the WMP that includes the encoder. I'm fairly new at this video making and not all that sure where to start or whats next. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I'm sure there is some good information sites out there that is written for us "newbee's" to understand but so far I haven't found it. Possibly I just put the wrong words into Google. Any help you can give me would be apprectiated. Thanks - have a great and weekend.

You should be able to google "encoding wmv", and find some pointers. All I can add, is that you will need something to capture your video from the camera first.
