Naomi Campbell and the Telephone
You can't help but to hear about the latest shenanigans of celebrities behaving badly....but this time there might be a Nextel connection.
In days before this incident occur--there was a Nextel commercial that featured two guys in a locker room bragging about their cellphone carrier plan and features. Finally, the Nextel customer claims that his phone has "theft deterrent" and eggs the other to try and steal his phone. As he reaches out to grab the phone--the Nextel guys picks up his phone and throws it violently at the other guy--hitting him. This happens several times actually--illustrating the theft deterrent feature of the phone. So just only a couple days after this commercial ran -- Naomi Campbell throws her phone at her housekeeper--injuring her. Did this commercial, in a subconscious/subliminal way, plant the idea into Naomi Campbells mind? It's like an epidemic---you plant the idea into someone's mind--and if you are prone to this kind of suggestion, you just might act upon it. Yep..the power of television and moving images. All you filmmakers, and video producers--wield your power wisely. |

I'm sure the idea of throwing the phone at someone didn't originate with that commercial.
And Campbell herself has been in trouble for using her phone as a weapon in the past. Last year it was Russell Crowe who threw a phone at a worker. Do we really need to be told that it's a terrible idea to throw a hard object at someone's head?
