When will we ever get a 35mm alternative
When do you think we (the digital world in the sub 60k market) will get a digital movie camera that is on par with 35mm? 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? Honestly, I am not at all happy with any of the sub 60k HD offerings right now. The image quality (to me) looks nothing like film. But I guess that is due to inferior optics, compression, inferior latitude, and to some degree, a deep depth of field.

Yeah, I saw the Red forum. I'm just in doubt about it's affordability. I hope it’s the one, though.
