Of course, DTV is just a digital transmission, but pretty much all networks and affiliates are moving towards 1080i60 and 1080p30, with 1080p60 coming in 5-10 years.

Maybe, but there are big networks broadcasting in 720 and 733 TV's are a big seller at the big box retailers. Those 733's are going to be around in homes for a long time (7+years.)

True, true, most HDTVs are 720p or so, but 1080i and 1080p are getting cheaper all the time.
