Insurance For Video Equipment

Any claims experience out there? Looking at a bespoke policy for my (amateur) video gear, all risks home (UK) and abroad. Currently included within my Buildings And Contents Cover which has some quite severe limitations when it comes to theft from a vehicle.

Easy enough to get quotes and recommendations online but nothing about actual claims experience, which of course a key factor in choosing an insurer.
