I don't know if it's the same policeman, but a BBC cameraman was also attacked on another occasion. The police there don't look that experienced in crowd control, it all looks like early 1970s Belfast methods..

there was another angle where you could really see the action, the female reporter nearly got hit with a baton - talk about a war zone. I was thinking "not the camera, not the camera"

There has been reports of a number of attacks on the press by police in the US during the recent black lives matter protests.
