And the big question that this raises is... are you insured?

Don't just assume that your homeowners policy will cover you, talk to your insurance agent and get the coverage you need!

I wonder how many of these claims may be insurance scams. Some of the incidents are downright scary. There is one incident in Brazil where 10 guys came in with automatic guns and just took everything. Then there were the one's where one guy distracted the gear owner at his truck or loading dock while the other guy went to the rear of the truck or loading area and proceeded to offload the gear. At an event that I worked on a couple of weeks ago, a $7000.00 plasma screen was stolen from our ball room at a luxury hotel. There are cameras all over that place but they had the balls to take it anyway. They did find out who did it. It was the deejay from the last performance that night! What a dumbass!!!
