The 6 Degrees Game
I LOVE the Movie Quote Game, so I thought I'd offer one more. It is based on the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon that was popular a few years back. We play it at work and it tends to be mind boggling at times.
Rules: Give an actor and a starting movie. You have six moves or less to link that actor with that movie. Since the first movie is given for you, you only have five more moves to link the actor. Stay with movies in english as much as posible. Here is and example: Link Robert De Niro starting with the movie Xanadu 1. Xanadu: Olivia Newton 2. Two of a Kind: Olivia Newton John stared in Xanadu and was in Two of a Kind with John Travolta. 3. The Thin Red Line: Travolta was with Nick Nolte 4. Cape Fear: Nolte stared with Robert De Niro! There are MANY possibilities, you could have also gone with: 1. Xanadu: Michael Beck 2. Triumphs of a Man Called Horse: Beck was with Richard Harris 3. Patriot Games: Harris was with Samuel L. Jackson 4. Jackie Brown: Jackson was with De Niro! If you post a question, you should have already figured out a way to get to the actor, if not.....then you will be flogged.....ok mabye not.

Sorry for the tardiness - I rarely get down this far in the message boards. I used to play 6DofKB a few years ago and enjoyed it - keeping my movie memory sharp - and I am not used to playing it with this twist...but I am game, and this one is a cinch with probably multiple paths, but here is a quick one: Ronin included a co-starring role with Jean Reno Jean Reno co-starred in Mission Impossible with Ving Rhames Ving Rhames appeared in Con Air with John Cusack I think that's only 3 steps....Nothing but net -Jon

Wow...I caught an update before the quick edit - Titanic would have been a cinch (Leo in Gilbert Grape) but you did a quick fix and replaced it with a pretty tough one. But I didn't spend 7 years managing a video store in the 80's for nothing - so here goes...
Johnny Depp co-starred in "Donnie Brasco" with Al Pacino (1) Pacino starred in "Scarface" in which a lesser-known but very recognizable actor named Harris Yulin also appeared. (2) Harris Yulin played the foul-tempered judge in "Ghostbusters II" (3) Take your pick between most of the main cast to link GB II to GB. I'll just take Bill Murray for S's & G's who starred in Ghostbusters II and I just so I can officialyl make this count at (4) steps. How did I do? -Jon

you worked backwards:-) but thats okay
my steps where 1)dan akroyd with emily mortimer in "bright young things" 2) emily mortimer played with ewan mcgreggor in "young adam" 3) ewan mcgreggor played with albert finney in "big fish" 4) albert finney plays with johnny depp in "the corpse bride" come to think about , now I'm thinking if I am working the correct way :-) |
