Panasonic's AV100
Does anyone know what Panasonic's plans are now that they've discontinued this tiny 6 ounce wonder? Ever since the jackbrown site dedicated to this camera was closed down, I haven't heard a word. This is the perfect camera for backpacking. Plus it gives DVD quality video. Anyone? Thanks!

Av100
If anyone who's still out at NAB gets the opportunity, could you please ask the Panasonic reps what they've heard about any future version of the solid state AV100? Post it here and many current owners will be very grateful (or irritated). Thanks!

HD in your pocket!

Nobody? Well, here's my prediction: The next generation AV100 will be HD and its arrival will coincide with either 2GB or 4GB SD cards that are affordable. So in essence, the AV100 is a kissing cousin of the new Panasonic HVX200. Maybe a winter arrival? |
