Hd Channels

If you buy the HD packages offered by Cox, comcast, Direct TV ect. how much of that is in HD? I know all NFL games are shot in HD, but how many reality shows are shot in that format.??

As far as content, many of the primetime sitcoms are broadcast in HD. Not many of the reality shows seem to have moved to HD, however (Survivor being one that is still SD - though it does look much better on the HD CBS as opposed to the analog channel..)
Look at http://hdtvgalaxy.com (What's On Link) for an idea of the programming in HD.

Check out your local provider web site. Also check out Voom. There is also a wealth of info on this subject at http://avsforum.com

Voom! requires your dish point to the South East, something they failed to tell me last summer (my condo's back, the place I'm allowed to put a dish up, faces the South West). So I got Dish Network and HDNet, HDNet Movies, Discovery HD, ESPN HD and TNT HD (which is upconverted SD, boo).

I love HDNet and esp. Discovery HD. To be honest, I can't tell too much of a difference with HDNet Movies, unless I really look hard at it. Movies are movies, to me, whether it's on 35mm or put to HD or put to DV. (Except for pan and scan.)
